Well my tmi sports trims have arrived with new foams.
Just after any tricks and tips to make the job easier.
I know to leave trims out in the sun to soften them up a little.
What are the best hog ring pliers to use? Straight, angled, brand, spring ones or not?
Does anyone have a pair i could borrow for some beer?

Re: upholstery tips wanted
I think Matt (shermatt) used a bit of silicon spray to help the upholstery slide over the foam and I think a heat gun (the bosses hair dryer would probably do) can be used to add a bit of heat where needed.

There's a number of videos on YouTube by TMI and others showing how to do it including tools required etc.

instead of silicone spray, I have heard of people using dry cleaning bags (the ones your clothes are in when you pick the clothes up) to help ease the covers on.
Oh, and get Nuts to hold the wires while you hog ring- no point you crimping your fingers (don't worry, his finger healed fine and we reused the ring) ;-)

I remember that day, in a suburb far far away, and he didn't bleed at all....but you nearly did....from my eye witness account.

Sounds like a good tip would be to not get any blood on your nice new upholstery when you hog ring your finger to it.
