Wow... that is a lot more oil than I thought would be going up there.

Surely something isn't right there.

At 5:15, the cover is almost full of oil.

It appeared to be a lot of oil - agree with you, it is more than I expected to see as well. I am thinking the surface is getting coated and might not really be as much as it appears to be. What is interesting is that this vid is of the car on a track so the movement and forces are applied so that might provide more oil. Also, I do not know which engine it is showing. Some engines (like older AMC) did throw a lot of oil up the top - AMC engines are known in a racing scenario's to drain the sump - this is why oil restrictors are used in some builds (the Cleveland is another example of an engine they try to keep the oil in the pan and on the mains). I would not expect a Windsor to drench the top end. The positive is the valve springs sure get some cooling from all the oil.

Very interesting!

Yep, there is no mention of what motor or what revs it's going through, would be good to see a pic in pic of the tacho.

Yes if it's being thrown around on a track, getting fanged hard, has nitrous, a blown motor, etc. it may not be typical of a streeter.

Also of interest is that the cover is a 3d printed one.

How cool is that- the whole printing and testing. What it does suggest is that there is scope for a internal fins or baffles to channel the oil onto the rockers and not down the sides of the cover.

The oil should be coming up through the pushrods/rockers, so they should be getting oil I would have thought.
