Precision Oil Pumps

Post by MaxPower »

Any body ever ordered from these guys before? Their site wouldn't take payment and they have not returned any emails.

No - I have always purchased the appropriate Mellings oil pump and bolt it on (after bench priming it).
I will someday think of something clever to say.

I brought a new Mellings pump but as I was going through how to prepare the block and oil passages, lots of other recommend to use a blueprinted pump from these guys. Thought I may as well get one too.

It guess it is nice to know someone has pulled a new pump apart and checked that all of the clearances are in spec. Otherwise, not that much is really done. Go for it for sure if you see the value - oil pump functioning is critical - it is an insurance purchase though maybe the money can be directed some where else.
