I just replaced the SIM card in my tracker (phone card) as the old one was a prepaid and expired some time ago and can't be recharged.

I can get it to ring and go to message bank but not link up to send me text message of its where abouts. I tried sending the text password, A21,1, 89.134.146,57,31202,telstra.wap,, but keep getting no response.

It is a Telstra sim card.

Am I sending the wrong text or can someone lead me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hi Darwin,
Did you ever hook it to a pc to do initial configuration?
I will look at this tonight for you

It was done at a shop about three years ago at a guess. I don't know if they did

Ok, so was it ever working before?
The issue is that when you first set it up, you configure at least one "authorised phone".
Generally only the authorised phones can send commands to your tracker. If the phone number that you send the commands from hasn't changed, it should be OK.

Try sending the following via text, with xxxx being the tracker password
xxxx,B00,1

This should respond with the first authorised phone number.
If you still get nothing back, I think you're going to have to plug the USB cable into it and have a look at it on a computer.

It was working before the card ran out of credit, and I cant recharge it now because of the length of time since I last used it. But I had a moment, it was a $2 sim card and I didn't recharge it so that would explain the no message back. I will try in the morning again, the car is in the garage and it is a dead spot of mobile phones, once out in the drive way it is good. Will get back to you about it.

Working fine today, all the text messages are coming back at me in bulk. Must have taken some time for paypal to recharge the Telstra account. But all good now, thanks

Derwin if you have an android phone, you should download the app I wrote for these trackers. It makes sending the common sms commands easy and will display on a map the location from the last tracking sms you received.
It's called meitricks in the google play store.
