While in CA this year, I cut the rust in a 54 VW ragtop.
It WAS a nice car when parked (they all say that, along with "ran when new" ..... )
My friend Bob (who now owns the car) was able to source the correct pats made for the 54 in Bogota Columbia (of all places). They were a perfect fit, not like the other parts that were "one size fits all" & really took some beating into shape.
This is the result after 8 days work (start at 09:30, lunch 13:00 - 14:00 & knock off at 16:00 ..... ) .........
