Hi all,
I emailed Borgeson regarding the welded mount on their integral power steering boxes for Mustang and if they could provide any certification on their welding.
They have informed me that their current production power steering boxes for early Mustangs feature the housing and mounting plate as one piece. The Australian distributor (All-vet) also confirmed this for me and said they have them in stock.
One less hurdle for those interested, I guess.

Re: New Borgeson boxes are now one piece
As a "direct replacement" box (even though now integral power), it would now not need engineering IMO. I definitely would not worry about it.

I am guessing that they saw it was a concern for customers, and have addressed it.

Nope, my NSW engineer wants to see the welded box and some sort of certification for the welds.
I should have waited the 14 months it's been sitting on my shelf to be fitted and bought the latest one![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Sell it off and buy the current production one?smh00n wrote:Nope, my NSW engineer wants to see the welded box and some sort of certification for the welds.

You might tear up a couple of dollars on that but may be cheaper in the longer run for you.
