I need new front drums in Victoria!!
So my wife's 65 needs new front drums as hers are beyond repair. Can someone please suggest where I can get some new ones or does anyone have any machinable oldies?
Before you all say " Change to disc" It is a factory power brake car and she stops just fine.
I know I can buy new drums from the Mustang parts guys but Im looking for the full assembly with the hubs already pressed in or somewhere where they can swap my old hubs out and put them in some new drums?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm near Caroline Springs but will travel if I need to.
Thanks,
Dan.

I think I have an old set here in Adelaide that I was just going to toss in the scrap metal.
Welcome to have them if you want to pay freight.

Thanks Shaunp. Just checked their site and they don't have drums listed for 65 Mustangs. Am I doing it wrong?Shaunp wrote:Not hard to buy RDA make them not expensive.

Would they be just the drums or would they be the drums with the hubs and studs pressed in?

Ive purchased them from BHSS at Capalaba in Brisbane, front end rear, I'm sure they were RDA. they maybe listed as 66 or something Pretty sure 65 -70 are the same.

Re: I need new front drums in Victoria!!
I've got the complete drums off my '66 in a box following a change to discs. The car hadn't done many k's with them on since it was roadworthied so they should be OK.
I'm a fair way from you in Mulgrave but in the same city at least if you want to come and have a look some time.

Speak to eastcoast mustang. They might be able to put you in touch with a brake guy that might do it for you if you take the car or spindles in. It would be easier to install the new brakes yourself then remove the spindles from the car and reinstall them IMO.
