Posting images should be easier now - using PostImage

I've added some code to use the website postimage to display images on the site.
This is much easier to use than photobucket. It's free and unlimited.

Below the text editing box, you'll see a new button "Add image to post".
Click it and a new window will open. Choose your image and it will automatically upload it and place the required code in to the text box for you.

You can also do multiple images at the same time.

Hmm.. it didn't do that with my original testing. I will check the code.
Clicking on it takes you to the full size one, but that's no good.

Edit: Ok, so it seems like they do that to drive traffic to the full sized image on their site.
You can still link directly to the full size imaged from the website, but it's a different image ID.

I need to find out whether I can hack the code to go straight to the big pic. It's not what they want you to do though.

Not really. These uploads are anonymous, so it doesn't add them to a gallery that you can manage like photobucket does.
So for build pics etc that you want to manage, I would still use photobucket.

Having said that, you can sign up for a free account at postimage and use it in the same way as photobucket. Without all the shitty ads.

Ahhhhhhh yes haxed it.
Hopefully they don't bust me and blacklist us or something.

This is what their FAQ says.
postimage wrote: I have selected the "Do not resize" option, but the images I'm uploading have shrinked anyway!

You can open an image's page and click the Zoom button or the image itself to view it in full resolution. After that, if you need the direct link to the image in the original resolution, you can right-click the zoomed-in image and select "Copy image address". Convenient access to the full-res image URLs from the code box is not provided at this time, but will be likely implemented in the future as an option for Pro accounts.
So what I did is a bit naughty.
