Yeah Amazing power (and especially torque) from a stock 302.
If only we had plenty of room for turbos in our cars, it's definitely the way to go.
The overlay of the dyno results are crazy. It's like they've used different graph scales for each run they are so far apart.

You and GBX need to go to 14psi - ![Poke :poke:](./images/smilies/poking.gif)

Re: Engine master - turbo ford 5.0
Not sure my unit would get there. It's only the Novi 1200SL.
Re: Engine master - turbo ford 5.0
The novi 1200 is rated to 20 psi or so at 52000rpm isn't it? You can get there. But your block will probably leave you behind
Re: Engine master - turbo ford 5.0
Belt slip is a big problem. gbx has issues at 10psi.
Note: Better heads means less boost because less airflow resistance. More power though.

Mine is not the block they talk about in that series. That's a roller block.
But yeah... still not sure it would handle 14psi

Re: Engine master - turbo ford 5.0
yeah i guess that's why they recommend to get as large a crank pulley as possible before you start decreasing the sc pulley size. Good old belt slipboofhead wrote:Belt slip is a big problem. gbx has issues at 10psi.

Re: Engine master - turbo ford 5.0
I dont think im getting that much belt slip like before now that i changed belt size and brand and learnt how tight to do the tensioners without over tightening and putting unnecessary load on the bearing. Paxton told me they used rib belt design to allow it to slip a bit at very high rpm to protect the bearings. I have the monster crank which i think is as big as they made them off shelf. My pulley combo should give me 10-12psi from memory i just have good flow as boof mentioned. I have machinist friend who was keen to make me some cog drive pulleys liek ASP used to make for the novi 2000. I have up to 20psi to play with and im keen to break my block attempting to do so one day.. then i can put my dart stroker in... ..all boofs fault!
