They are die cast. The only place is Electroplating Technology in Queanbeyan that does die cast correctly.

For what you get when you buy the repos, they are inexpensive. By the time you buy all the bits you need and have the plating and polishing done, it will be more expensive.

Harrys classics have just the frames, nor sure if there is a difference between coupe and fastback though.

No difference between the three body shapes, however that is only the glass frames and they are stainless. The outer die cast is what cost the money to chrome. Also there is over days labour to dismantle and reassemble.

They also have complete assemblies, not to bad a price.

Almost 500 bucks for one side is not exactly a great price either

I think I just bought frames for mine and moved the glass over to the new frames.

That is a good price. You will not get them chromed for that.

That's the cheapest I've seen, I'm looking at a place in Caringbah. They said they can re chrome for $155 per side. Which isn't bad, I've got the new glass, just need the uncared rubber strip and I can have then looking like new.

Make sure they can chrome pot metal it takes some work the get them right. I have seen some that bloke at Ipswich does, he de- chromes them and then polishes them. Bright shine trims he calls himself
