Matt, Avatar needs to be less than 150x150 resolution and less than 20k (20000 bytes) in size.
Yours shows 160x97

If we don't keep them less than that, they hang out past the User Info box and it looks shite.

Hi Rob,
when you are adding an avatar, the location link is the one.

The image should be less than 150x150 as well as under 20k.

Paste the link to the image here and I will check why it's not being allowed.

Ok, filesize is 85k (too big) and dimensions are 180x190

I'll make it smaller for you.. give me a sec.

Well blow me down. What a coincidence!

It looks like when you add an image to our photo gallery, the size comes out pretty much perfect.

Try using this link:

Code: Select all

http://www.mustangtech.com.au/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10020/thumb_20064_105066609519235_100000476899783_129161_290168_n.jpg
So if you have an image in our gallery and want to use the thumbnail image for your avatar, just right click on the image and select "copy image location". You can then past that URL into your avatar section.

Just to add to this.. for those looking for where to add your avatar.

Click on My Account, and then in the top left hand side you should see "My Avatar"

Hey Hybrid, I am trying to add an avatar from my gallery but it keeps coming up with wrong file type, and I cannot find the location link you wrote about earlier?

What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

On photo bucket , this is the code you need. The code is on the drop down aswell on the thumbnail pics but it couldnt copy it. So just click on the thumbnail to get the bigger pic.

Image

If the pic is too big and doesnt work ,the pic needs to be resized to a Max of 150x150 .
click resize as shown

Image

Then type in 150 on the left side and the right side automatically changes , make sure that also reads less than 150. If not type in a lesser value on the left. Then go back to step 1 and copy and paste the code
