seat project

Post by Cruzn65 »

a while a go I posted about the seat project that I was going to do, the seat in the boot space thing.... anyway its here and it will be picked up soon. Talking to Mike we thought it might be a good sort of weekend blitz for the blokes in WA.

Rather than just keep all the "fun" to ourselves we thought it might be a be of an experience to share with anyone interested in having a go, maybe learning some body work skills etc.

As was always intended post the pics and some of the crew on the forum for all to share. Im happy to provide the beverages and food if anyone is interested.

Any takers in WA? assuming our interstate cousins might find the travel a bit daunting :) but always welcome none the less!

Otherwise Mike and I will chip away but still show you how it gets on no dramas :)

there is only one "Mike" :)

cool Scott, the only thing better than one project is 2 :) see how many takers we get and roll from there. We might even have enough to make a 3rd one as mine could be split in 2.

I have more half a car than a third of a car so there is a section between the back window and the striker plate for the door. Whilst I'd like to leave it as one piece its not going to fit at my place like that.

If you want to come over Moe we would be happy to have you :)

Make sure you touch base if you do as we would be most offended if you didn't :(

Ill have to check if its still ok but i have a nice mid-light metalic blue, otherwise i have this red i painted my mates VW in , actually i think there is also some more red/orange close to this that he decided not to use.

They are all acrylic paints so that has to come into the prep plan unless you decide to get some other type of paint.

I wonder if anyone would notice if I took a gas axe to their car so I can have a boot to convert too?
