is there any truth to there being a specific thermostat forc a Cleveland as windsor one will fit fine but im told clevos need a certain type, not the triton one from auto barn i do have my restrictor in the block does run a little warm btween 187 193 depending on day and wether ac on or not , also what pressure cap should i have its a factory 24inch rad 4 core copper

They certainly show up as different part numbers to Windsor thermostats but I have no idea what the difference is.

it was said in another forum that the top one is correct as it slows the flow down

The first one you posted is a High flow,. A clevo one blocks the bypass when open. some look ie an early XK jag one
