Did you post this in the right thread?

Cool work - I assumed it was for your own car.

I have to make the alloy inseets for mine and Ralph's car as they are both Deluxe trim, dont want to get those plated till the trim is made so I dont scratch them in the process. The plastic is done though.

Looks great. Did you 'mask and spray' or just 'brush and hope'?

mask and spray with wrinkle paint, to hide the joins, you have to bog the joins then high build them to get them smooth, then the Vacuum metalise over the top of that.

(PRAYER) Oh thank you Wild Turkey American Honey & Cola in those small thin bottles, for giving me the strength to act like a half wit, and say stupid things at inappropriate times, semi-anonymously, on a public forum.
Amen.

Does the wrinkle finish do a good imitation camera case...?

Not bad, if you didn't know what it was supposed to be you wouldn't know it was wrong, I also sprayed the center bit where the AC vent would go so it matches. MGB's were always wrinkle finish, I still had a can of VHT on the shelf. Considering the original attempt that someone did on Mark's car, this set is Concours
